MinBao Hot Pot

Author: Where do you get free lighter and beer? Hotpot place called MinBao..located in Haidian District. You will have your own mini hotpot utensil while cooking your own meal. First time I tried dipping some peanut sauce with my meal…one unique experience. Plus..after spending around 500 rmb, you’ll get discount coupons for your next visit!
One blopper experience I had though…I burned my hand because the tissue paper caught on fire while I was trying to get the hotpot down. Still, I will come back!

Call me chicken….or a wussy…but I wouldn’t dare eat a scorpion or a centipede. This is the exotic food strip in Wang fu qing. Imagine all the “not-so-common” foodie waiting to be chosen at the food stand. They have snakes, scorpions, grasshopper, etc. Two big scorpions costs 50rmb. Yikes…steep price. I’ve tried the sea urchin and it’s ok…smells funny though.
